Now this can be a great option for you if you want to carry a lot of bikes from point A to point B, and you're looking for something a little bit more affordable, or if you don't want to use your hitch, especially if you're currently using it for something else. And this is gonna be a much better option opposed to just throwing them in the bed of your truck, because this is gonna organize them a lot better and they're gonna be less likely of scratching each other up. This fork mount rack is going to let you carry one bike with a thru-axle in your truck bed, SUV, or trailer, or even use your vehicle's utility track. And just to talk about that utility track installation briefly, the included hardware that you see here and the Torx key is going to let you mount this carrier in your truck bed's utility rack. And you're just going to insert the plates that you see here into the track and then pass the Torx bolts through the mounting holes on the rack and then thread them onto the track plates and slide the assembly anywhere along the utility track and tighten the bolts with the provided Torx key. more

Hi, Matt with etrailer. Today we're gonna be talking about the Kuat Huk half-size tailgate pad on the back of our 2023 Chevrolet Colorado. Now this can be a great option for you if you're looking at trying to haul your bikes, but you don't wanna throw 'em in the back of your tailgate because it'll get all messy and scratched up, but you don't wanna invest in a hitch bike rack because one, that's gonna be at a higher price point and two, maybe you wanna save your hitch for something else. Now, this is gonna be great for organizing your bikes and keeping 'em upright, so a lot easier to haul. As you can see, the way it's gonna sit up here is just gonna be sitting on its frame with the wheel on the back of it, and we're gonna have this strap that's gonna connect to our frame and oh, that's gonna use this, just this clip right here that'll cinch down this strap. And when you're taking it off, it's gonna be fairly straightforward. more

Hi everyone, Aiden here with Etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Kuat Huk half tailgate pad, and seeing how it fits on the back of our 2022 Ford Maverick. Now the Ford Maverick has a short bed, and that leaves you with not as many options for truck bed bike racks. If you've got a hitch, you can always put a hitch bike rack in, but truck bed bike racks are gonna be a little bit more cost effective and a little bit easier entry for some people that are just getting started with one or two bikes. Now the problem comes into play where the bed is short and a lot of times, you have to have the tailgate open in order to make those options work except for tailgate pads. So the Huk is going to be a really solid option for a tailgate pad. more

Inno Truck Bed Bike Racks Review - 2022 Ford Maverick- Video
Hi, everyone, Aidan here at etrailer. Today, we're gonna be taking a look at the Inno Velo Gripper Bike Rack and seeing how it fits on our 2022 Ford Maverick. It's gonna be a truck bed bike rack that clamps onto the side of your bed rails, allowing you to carry up to one bike up to 33 pounds. So on the Maverick, in theory, you could put one on either side, and that's gonna be true for any truck you put this on. You'll have to pick up another set of the clamps, because it only comes ready to go for one, but that is gonna be a limitation of this style, is that you are limited to the number of sides you have on your vehicle, which is two. So if you need to carry a lot of bikes, I would recommend something like a tailgate pad. more

Hi, everyone, Aidan here at etrailer. Today, we're gonna be taking a look at the Kuat Huk Tailgate Pad and seeing how it fits on the back of our 2023 Nissan TITAN. This is gonna be their smallest tailgate pad they make, the half pad, and it only covers half the tailgate. So if you only need to carry one or two bikes and you don't wanna deal with a hitch-mounted bike rack or any other version of a truck bed bike rack, then this tailgate pad could be the one for you. I'm very partial to it myself, I've used a tailgate pad in this half size on my own truck a number of times, and I really like it, because we can have the bikes loaded up on one side, still see out the back window very easily, not extend really anything off the back of our truck besides our tire, and still have access to our backup camera and the handle for our tailgate when the bikes are unloaded. So for me, this is a really convenient way to carry your bikes, because if you've got a truck bed, you might as well use it, and it keeps the bikes a little bit more protected by partially being in the bed. more

Hi, everyone, Aiden here at etrailer. Today, we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Swagman Impakt Fork-Mounted Bike Rack. It's gonna be a great way to carry one bike by the fork in your truck bed, and there's a variety of different ways you can mount it up. Right now, we've got ours mounted up to a 2x4 just using some wood screws to hold it in place, and it's doing a great job at that. But it comes with all the hardware necessary to mount it up to the Swagman PATROL Bike Rack if you wanted to add an additional fork block to that. Or if your truck has the utility track system like some Toyota trucks do or the Frontier does, you can mount it up to that as well. more

Now it's gonna be a great way to carry up to five bikes with you in your Tacoma, which is a really solid option because most hitch mounted bike racks can only carry up to four bikes. There's a few specialty ones out there that can do more but I'd argue that this is gonna be the easier method of doing it just because it's pretty easy to load up and it's very cost effective too. But there's a lot of options in the world to tailgate pads so what makes the Kuat Huk unique There's a number of things including the ton of padding that's all on the front, the top and the back which offers ample protection for both your bike and your tailgate. more

Now, this is gonna be the half pad, the one that can only hold up to one or two bikes but only takes up about half of your tailgate, so this whole side here completely open. Which is great because it doesn't interfere with as much that way. Now if we shifted this over to the driver's side of the Tacoma, our backup camera would be completely visible but the tailgate pad would partially block our handle to lower our tailgate. more

Hi, everyone. Aidan here at etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Kat Huk Tailgate Pad for full-sized trucks with the curved tailgate and seeing how it fits in our 2023 GMC Sierra 1500. Now for the curved tailgate, that's gonna be for most newer trucks. And you can really see that on the tailgate pad when you look at the middle. This section is quite a bit wider than it is on the edges because a lot of these newer trucks have a much deeper curve in the tailgate, and that top section there is a lot wider which means if you're looking at the tailgate pad as a way of carrying your bikes, then most of them are gonna fit kind of awkwardly because they bulge out in the center and don't fit very well on the edges. more

Kuat Truck Bed Bike Racks Review - 2011 Ford F-150- Video
Hi, everyone, Aidan here at etrailer. Today, we're gonna be taking a look at the Kuat Huk Tailgate Pad for Full-Size Trucks and seeing how this fits on our 2011 Ford F-150. Now, a tailgate pad is a great way to carry, on this one, up to six bikes with you in your truck. It's great, because it utilizes the space in your truck bed while still keeping the bikes organized, because sure, you can throw six bikes in the back of your F-150, but they're gonna be banging around together, all in a big pile, potentially damaging each other, and they're not very secure. And this is going to hold them upright, side by side with one another, and the only thing that's gonna end up overlapping is the tires over your forks, which some people might not be super fond of, in those cases, maybe I'd recommend a hitch-mounted rack that keeps your bikes more separated, but for this, it's a great effective way to get a lot of bikes with you quickly and relatively inexpensively. This is definitely a more premium tailgate pad, just know that there's a reason for that. more

Hi everyone, Aidan here with etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Yakima GateKeeper tailgate pad and seeing how it fits on our 2022 Ford Maverick. So a tailgate pad is gonna be a great way to carry some bikes around with you whether you don't have a hitch or aren't wanting to use your hitch. It is a lot more cost effective than a typical hitch mounted bike rack and can hold five bikes on this version, so it's easy to get a lot of bikes to your destination. I'd say this one fits pretty well on the Maverick too. I was a little bit worried about the width of it but this is the one for the compact or midsize trucks. more

Swagman Truck Bed Bike Racks Review - 2022 Ram 1500 Classic- Video
Hi, everyone Aiden here with etrailer.com Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Swagman Paramount tailgate pad here on our 2022 Ram 1500 classic. Now, a tailgate pad is a great way to get a lot of bikes to your destination. With the Paramount here specifically we've got straps and room for up to seven bikes. Now, if you're looking at other bike rack options like a hitch mounted bike rack or carrying them on your roof, you're gonna have a hard time getting up to seven bikes carried. In many cases, with the hitch bike rack, you can only get up to six. So this is a great way to get those bikes to our destination safely. more

`- Hi, everyone. Aiden here with etrailer.com and today we're gonna be taking a look at the Yakima GateKeeper tailgate pad for full size trucks here on our 2022 Ford F350 Super Duty. Now you can get this in blue, like we have here or black if you want something more neutral. And it's gonna be able to hold up to six bikes in your bed, upright like this draped over the tailgate with this pad protecting your paint. You get a pretty good solid hold on the bike here. And if you're looking to get a large amount of bikes to your destination, this is a great way to do it especially with the larger hitch size. more

Now a tailgate pad is a great solution for either getting more bikes than the standard four bike capacity of a hitch bike rack or maybe your hitch is occupied, or in this case we don't have a two inch hitch. So there aren't really any options without using an adapter sleeve. So the next best place is our tailgate, and in our truck bed. more

Hi everyone, Aiden here with etrailer.com. And today we're gonna be taking a look at the Swagman Paramount tailgate pad for full size trucks here on our 2022 Ford F-350 Super Duty. Now, if you're looking to haul a very large amount of bikes, it's gonna be a great way to do it. But another thing to consider with your F-350 is the larger than normal hitch size. So a normal bike rack isn't going to be the best solution sticking in the hitch because you will need an adapter sleeve to size down. So having this, it's a great way to accommodate that. more

RockyMounts LoBall Truck Bed Bike Rack Review- Video
We're gonna be utilizing the track system on the inside of our bed. And we're using the RockyMounts Fork-Mounted Bike Rack. All I have to do is take the wheel off, install the RockyMounts Fork-Mounted Rack to the rails, lock it into place and get to the trails. Not all trucks come with rails on the inside of the bed, but if you have rails on the inside of your bed, it opens up the world of possibilities. Right here is the RockyMounts LoBall, and it's gonna get my bike wherever I want to go. All we need to do is remove our front wheel, grab our bike, throw the wheel wherever we need it. more

Now this Thru Axle Fork Mount bike rack will let you carry one bike on nearly any stable, flat surface. You can see, it'll mount directly to your truck bed, your truck bed rails, your trailer bed or even the rear cargo area your SUV or van. Now, this can be an excellent way of getting a lot of bikes to the trails. It is becoming a very popular option, especially if you're going mountain biking, or just getting up in those hard to reach trails. The truck is definitely gonna mean to allow us to get there, and what's great about it, you can get about six bikes to the trail head with this GateKeeper here, as you guys can see. Hollywood Racks Truck Bed Bike Racks Review - 2020 Toyota Tundra- Video
Hey everybody Welcome at etrailer.com, I'm Bobby, today we're taking a look at Hollywood racks tailgate pad, here on our 2020 Toyota Tundra. If you looking at a way of getting a lot of bikes to the trail head with you, this can be an excellent option. Now as you see, we're only on the 53 inch version here today, not covering the entirety of our tailgate. If you are looking for that kinda option there are more at etrailer.com, we just want to go ahead and show up the Hollywood racks here today, and that it is still able to be put on here, you are just losing a little bit here about a hand on each side, which isn't too crazy for ourselves today. Now keep an eye on though too, since we are on that 53 inch version, we are gonna be limited to four bikes on this guy, Now personally I think you might be able to fit just a few more, but we only actually have four straps included today now they are just a simple little buckle system here, and you can interchange their links just by adjusting your cam buckles of course, now the only thing I will say to it though, you are stuck on your shortest length, so here today, we are on our shortest length here on our mountain bike, and as you guys can see, we actually are having to go to bolt up our rails here to make sure that we can actually get a good fit on here. One thing I'll say with it too though, it is kinda be almost shift, which we're gonna tailgate pad isn't gonna be the greatest thing for you, now personally, I think you're always gonna be better served by maybe going up to the Thule gate mate pro, that guy is gonna give you a lot better tie-down points, a lot more padding, but if you're looking for a way to just getting yourself going up to the trails, this isn't going to hurt you, yes you're gonna see a little bit of shifting this on your bikes, but we shouldn't have too much interaction, especially as you get four guys up on here, and we know they won't be extended any further because we do have these nice thick pads on the end too, which will prevent our bikes from actually going over the edge which you do love to see. more
